Gracing the obverse side of this coin is the effigy of her Majesty Queens Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

Inscribed near the rim are “ELIZABETH II”, “D.G. REGINA”, along with the coin’s denomination and mintage date. The reverse features the exquisitely detailed maple leaf with the E=mc2 privy mark near the left side of the maple leaf stem with a reverse proof finish. The privy mark commemorates the Special Theory of Relativity with the groundbreaking formula E=mc2.
