For your consideration is an early 1800's Hippocrates Bronze Medal by famed French medalist Émile Rogat and inscribed in 1934-935 to M. Naef Basile - The French Faculty Of Medicine: Gynecology & Obstetrics Department in Beirut, Lebanon. This medal originally cast by French medalist Émile Rogat in the early 1800's features the bust of Hippocrates on the obverse and symbolizes the Hippocratic oath all physicians are bound by. The reverse features a laurel wreath that is often symbolized by triumph in Greek mythology. The medal was presented roughly 100 years after it was cast to one M. Naef Basile, a well known Lebanese, American physician. The medal shows off an original bronze patina, some light wear on the high points of the design and no dings or corrosion.
