For your consideration is an Original WWII 1942 Pal Blade & Tool Co. M1905 M1 Garand Bayonet With M3 Scabbard in very good pre-owned condition. This bayonet was commissioned by the U.S. government during World War 2 for use with the M1 Garand rifle. Dated 1942 and stamped with the company Pal Blade & Tool Co., this company saw a production of 250,000 bayonets in 1942 for this model before the blades were shortened to 10" inches from it's original 16" inch length. The model M3 scabbard to this blade is original with corresponding wear and tear and visible surface wear consistent with being strapped to the side of the soldier wearing it. The scabbards hardware shows some oxidation but does not affect the functionality. The galvanized steel blade is mostly preserved with the original finish, some spots of oxidation, original grips and functioning locking clasp.
